Have you ever wondered why a dragon needs seven heads, or who the 144,000 are? Maybe you’ve never even heard much about what’s in the book of Revelation. It’s actually an awesome letter God has sent just for you and me, if we’ll take the time to read and study it.

Welcome to Revelation for Kids! I hope you’ll find some interesting stuff to read here about what’s in the Bible and in the book of Revelation. But most importantly, I hope you find Jesus, who loves you and is coming soon!

Some people think Revelation is too scary or too hard to understand. But once you discover how to look for clues and start solving the mysteries in Revelation I hope you’ll find it exciting and life changing like I did!

What does the word REVELATION really mean?

The dictionary says revelation is the act of revealing or disclosing something, especially something you didn’t realize before. Revelation begins with these words, “The revelation of Jesus Christ”. So the book of Revelation is just revealing who Jesus is more fully.

Do you want to know Jesus better? Do you want to know more about who He is? Then the book of Revelation is a great place to find out!

Why would anyone want to read the book of Revelation?

Well let me ask you this. Do you want to be happy? And not just kind-of happy – how would you like to have a deep inner joy that no one could take away? Sounds great doesn’t it!

Well, that is exactly the promise to those who read Revelation and take what they read seriously. In other words, read and follow the counsel given.

“Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.” Revelation 1:3

“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.” Revelation 22:7

Remember that the word “blessed” comes from the greek word “makarios” which means a deep inner joy.

There are seven “blessings” in the book of Revelation. Keep reading God’s word and following Jesus. He will bless you and give you true joy!

Revelation is simply an amazing love letter from God to me and you. My personal thoughts on the book of Revelation can be read at this link. (Most appropriate for teens and adults.)
